What started as a builder grade low-end plain gas fireplace insert, evolved into an elegant centerpiece. Utilizing beautiful washed stone, with a distressed wood mantel and a hearth of natural stone slab. Accented on both sides with true arched openings housing distressed floating shelves and custom cabinets.
Elegant and cozy.
When we first arrived, this deck was at eminent collapse. The homeowner had attempted to shore up the structure, but conditions were vey dangerous. After securing the unstable structure so we could work it, we carefully demolished the entire deck. It was tricky, because the main support columns of the deck also supported the structural roof attached to the house. We rebuilt it all with contemporary decking and railing, and even secured a spot underneath for a hot tub.
The need for a home office motivated the enclosure of an open loft area. We added the wall, relocated the lighting, and installed custom french doors to allow additional light, creating an open and functional environment.
This beautiful estate home with Mediterranean elements unfortunately had a dangerously dilapidated second floor deck. We took on the challenge. After first securing the structure to avoid further damage or injury, we began to dismantle the deteriorated components, and rebuild with new materials to match. We matched the stucco perfectly, as well as the railing, and added a waterproof ceiling underneath with drainage system.
The custom library was designed and built for a client in the Pierre Hotel, NYC. Select knotty pine wood and veneer was sequenced matched to create a traditional design appropriate for an elegant yet functional study or library.
We quickly discovered that this deck had been painted over. What lay beneath was old authentic Redwood. We stripped, sanded, conditioned, and refinished. The result is a restored natural wood deck full of warmth and natural organic beauty.
This custom credenza is hand crafted from quarter sawn sequence matched African "ribbon" mahogany veneer. The altering direction of the wood grain on the top and bottom, compared to the center panels, make it unique and interesting. The top is covered with embossed black leather, with an ivory colored lacquer perimeter. Stainless steel feet finish the piece.
This second floor deck has stone columns at the end of each railing span. We removed the old wooden railing, install new synthetic decking, and added new stone to match the existing with mortar.
This original modest deck had run its course. We demolished the old, and added a new, larger two story deck with metal railing.
This deck and stairs were falling down, making it unusable. We replaced it all with new decking boards, stair stringers and metal railings.
This client came to us for help getting this property ready for market. The front porch had slate tile poorly installed. It was chipping and coming off. We removed it all, acid washed the concrete, and painted a battleship grey. The house went under contract in one week.
These beautiful custom french doors were used to close off a loft and create a comfortable study.
